The President of the newly-founded Hellenic Federation of Precision Sports (EOAA), mr. Giorgos Lamprakis and the member of the new Board of Directors mr. Argyris Logothetis met with leading members of the Hellenic Olympic Committee on Tuesday 26th October in Iraklio, Crete, and discussed with them about the growth and further inclusion of the sport of Bowling within the international Olympic Movement.
The city of Iraklio hosted the General Assembly of ANOC from October 23rd to 25th, and the EOAA representatives, accompanied by the Vice-President of IBF and also EBF Member of Presidium, mr. Marios Nicolaides, took the opportunity to be there and have an important meeting with mr. Spyros Capralos, President of the Hellenic Olympic Committee and of the European Olympic Committee, as well.
Also present at the meeting were mr. Manolis Kolympadis, Secretary General of the Hellenic Olympic Committee, and mr. Athanasios Vasiliadis, President of the Torch Relay Commitee and Vice-President of the Mediterranean Bowling Confederation.
They all congratulated mr. Lamprakis for his election as President of the Hellenic Federation of Precision Sports and wished success to all people of the new Federation.
Furthermore, they had an important conversation about the future of the sport of Bowling within the Olympic Movement and discussed the next steps which will be taken, after a thoughtful preparation, in order to achieve further growth and recognition for Bowling, after the successful accomplishment of the previous set of goals, which included the inclusion of Bowling in the Mediterranean Games schedule.
